Even the Dog

Gramma Sue is here! As Daddy pointed out and as you can tell from this picture, even the dog was excited to see her.

A Bike Ride for the Books

We had our best bike ride yet this weekend. No stops and no tears. (Woo-hoo!!)

Daddy and Osten were the "line leaders" much to Osten's excitement (and insistence)!

This is my favorite shot of the day with Osten peaking over his seat to make sure that Marci and I didn't "crash" him.

Pre-Season Pep Rally

We had a pre-season pep rally of sorts this weekend, which consisted of a family outing to the neighborhood playground with the kids clad in their Georgia gear.

As always, the playground was tons of fun . . .

and H-O-T in the August Savannah sun. (Go Dawgs!!)

Color Me Happy

The kids are starting to play together more and more, and one of their favorite activities is to color at the kitchen table. (Gosh does that bring back memories!!)

Look at that concentration!

Since Osten is "big," he gets to use the markers (mostly because he won't try to eat them!)

(Big Girl) Bed Head

Guess who slept in her bed (kind of) Friday night? It looks like she's going to be a little harder to contain than Osten (who still won't budge from his bed without calling for us first). After several tearful escapes, we moved her back to her crib. On a whim, Daddy put her in her bed right before we went to bed. And . . .

there she stayed until we found her just like this at 6:30 the next morning! Would you check out that bed head??!! It was never quite that crazy in her crib!

New Shoes

Osten has been asking for "Spiderman shoes that light up just like Aiden's" for weeks now. Well, it was tax-free weekend and it was time for new shoes, so off we went Friday afternoon. Aunt Ang saw just the pair at JC Penney's, and sure enough, they had them in his size.

In fact, he was so excited that he wore them right out of the store (along with his new Optimus Prime shirt THAT HE WORE ALL WEEKEND)!! Gosh, does that bring back memories for both Daddy and me. Anyway, he was quite the sight stomping through the store while looking over his shoulder to make sure his shoes were lighting up.

More Than Meets the Eye

Transformers have suddenly become all the rage in our house. When I saw this Optimus Prime jersey in Wal-mart today for $3 (I kid you not!), I had no choice but to bring it home. Osten found it in the front seat while I was getting Marci situated, and he held it the whole way home. He swapped shirts before I could even get him out of his seat, and this shirt went right back on him after his bath. I think I've gotten my three-dollar's worth already. I guess they ain't kidding when they say they're more than meets the eye. Three bucks says that he wears this shirt to school tomorrow, too!
