Recently, our neighbor, Connor, caught a couple of lizards and was nice enough to share his new-found pets with Osten. We only kept him overnight, but Osten was thrilled to have an animal to call his own.
We kept him in this old apple juice jar, and he spent the night in our garage. Even though he was with us for just 24 hours, the kids got rather attached. They named him Sticky Hands, a name that is more descriptive than creative! Osten and Marci played with him all afternoon and even took turns taking him for rides on their swingset.
It was a very sad moment when it came time to return Sticky Hands to the great outdoors.
Even though Daddy promised Osten and Marci a childhood full of many more captured creatures, saying good-bye to Sticky Hands was still a tearful event.

Sunday School
Here are a couple of shots of the kids from Sunday School last week taken by our church's Director of Christian Education. Marci just recently graduated from the Nursery and now joins the big kids on Sunday mornings. As usual, she is very excited to get to tag along with her big brother. And from what I hear from the teachers, she is holding her own.

Splish! Splash!
Well, now we know that there are some benefits to a wet day at Disney. For starters, it's an automatic $30 savings if you remember to bring your own ponchos. (Whew!) And many of the rides are indoor anyway, so they aren't affected. The lines, on the other hand, are affected by the rain. They were practically non-existent!
Just like everything else at Disney, the puddles are more fun!

A Visit to 100-Acre Wood
Look who we spotted from the 100-Acre Wood!
Marci wasn't so sure about having her picture taken with them, but as soon as Osten was game she followed in step.

A Spoonful of Sugar
Look who we ran into at Dinsey!
None other than Mary Poppins herself!
The kids had the best time talking to her. And she was the first one to autograph their books.
She didn't have any sugar on hand, but she was still very sweet!

Apples of My Eye - Part Two
Here's a shot of the little apple eater with the finished project.
Not bad for a first attempt!
His sister, on the other hand, left a little more room for improvement!
