Burning Down the House
Well, it looks like we're in the market for a new grill . . . We're lucky that all we lost in the blaze was this batch of FaFa's chicken!
Saved by the Sprinkler
After listening to me promise all day that we would go to the pool, it started to thunder about 4:00 this afternoon just as we were finally en route. I was certain the pool would be closed so the kids opted for some good old-fashioned fun in the backyard with the sprinkler. Of course, I had to get out the camera. Osten was thrilled to give me his latest pose!
And Marci insisted that I shoot her from the rear. Actually, this shot cracks me up, and I'm certain it will continue to provide us with lots of laughs over the years.
Here's an action shot of the downward dog and a man on the run.
Good times!

Prima Ballerina
The kids and I took took a quick road trip this past weekend to attend Piper's very first dance recital. It was a hoot! She was absolutely beautiful in her tutu.
Before the show, she demonstrated one of her poses in the lobby.
After intermission, the kids and I snuck backstage to snap a shot with Piper before her tap routine.
Look at her go!

Candy Craze
This is not exactly one of their best group shots, which I suppose is not surprising since they were in the midst of a candy craze! I guess we'll have to try to time it a little better next year.
Candy, Candy, Candy!
We had a great time at the beach over Memorial Day weekend. Among many of the perks of where we stayed was a little store within walking distance that sold candy in bulk. Is there anything better than an edible souvenier??!!
And most of the candy even landed in their bags!
Of course, it took the fast route from the bag right to their tummies!
Boone went straight for the giant gumballs but happily settled for more bite-sized treats that didn't present as much of a choking hazard!

Personal Pizzas
Marci and Osten making personal pizzas with Hamilton. I think they might eat better when they have a hand in the process. If cleanup and time weren't such major factors, we'd likely have collaborative dinners more often!
