Growing up, my parents' kitchen ~ in particular the island in the center of said kitchen ~ was always Grand Central Station. I guess some things never change! Each time we've visited my parents in their new house, the kids have planted themselves on the bar stools at the kitchen island.
On this trip, Grammi had a new Play=doh kit that the kids had the pleasure to break in for her. They sat at that island and played for hours.
They also ate most of their meals and snacks here and parked themselves on the stools to hang out with the rest of us in the kitchen because, well, that's still our favorite gathering place!
